As the television announcer at Greene County Tech I have had the opportunity to work with Greg at several ball games. He had a passion for what he did and was more than willing to help out. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Miller family in their time of loss.

Greg was a super friend and loved a good conversation and laugh! We will miss him terribly. Our sympathy to his children and his mother, whom he loved so dearly. He will not be forgotten. He was truly a kind hearted man, and would give anyone anything they needed without question. Our loss is heaven's gain. Greg, WE MISS YOU!

I had the honor and privelege of working with Greg several times during the basketball season on NearSports Radio. He had a great passion for sports, and done a fantastic job! The times I worked with him, I always had hope that I would one day been as good as him. There is no doubt he will be missed. My prayers go out to his family in this terrible time.

As the District Administrator of Little League in this area and a Announcer on Near Sports Radio, I found Greg to be a fiend to youth sports and kids everywhere. He was always eager to find ways to support the kids and to bring attention to the the youth of Northeast Arkansas. I will miss a great partner and the youth of the area will miss a great supporter. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the Millers.

My name is Shane Smith, and I was always be indebted to Greg Miller for putting a temporarily retired play by play announcer back in the booth.  After being off air for a year, Greg took a chance and hired me to be the voice of the Badgers on NEARSports.  One thing that immediately struck me about Greg was that he shared the same passion for high school sports and announcing that I had.  Greg and I had many conversations not just about the Badgers, but about other high schools and about life.  Despite my never doing internet radio before, Greg never gave up on me and was nothing but optimistic and kind as I made the conversation from FM radio to internet radio.  Greg was very passionate about his family and bragged on his son and daughter often.  I could tell that he was extremely proud and for good reason.  I’ll never forget Greg and what he done for me, both personally and professionally.  He will never be forgotten.  I will keep Greg’s family in my thoughts and prayers.

Shane Smith, voice of the Beebe Badgers

We are devastated to hear of Greg's  death.  We will miss Greg's sense of humor, warm smile, competitive nature, but most of all his friendship.  We are fortunate to have known Greg and to have been able to spend many memorable days with him.  Heaven must of needed someone remarkable to have taken him so unexpectedly!!

We can only imagine what a difficult loss this will be for Lindi, Chris, and Greg's mother. No comfort is adequate for such a loss. Our deepest sympathies are with the family. We share your sorrow.

There are no words to describe the sorrow I feel tonight.  I worked with Greg for many years and he slowly became my best friend and confidant, while I became his #1 fan.  Many of you that listened to his games may recall him speaking to me over the air while I was back in the "studio" eating shrimp and ice cream, teching and recording his games.  His voice and commentary were both exciting and soothing at the same time.  He painted a picture for us and brought the games to life inside our homes. And at the end of every game, he'd say to me, "It's time to say goodnight Gracie.”  Now, sitting here with my heart ripped apart from the loss of my dearest friend, it’s time for me to say "Goodnight Harry"  I miss you already.  I love you dearly,

Gracie

I am so very sorry to hear of this devastating news.  I never knew Greg but I do know of his kindness and concern for my granddaughter, Ashley.  After reading the many posts on this website, I have a very good picture of the character and integrity of this wonderful person who left you too soon.  Please know that I will light a candle in his memory and pray for the healing of the family and friends he left behind.

I didn't know Greg very long, but I liked him very much and he was my friend.  He had a bright light in his personality and made me laugh alot.  He will be greatly missed.  I will miss him teasing us on the live broadcasts, making us smile.  But I'll mostly just miss him.
